As an organization that seeks to empower women through service and advocacy, Zonta believes it is important to recognize local individuals and club members for their outstanding contributions that benefit women in their communities.
Community Woman of the Year
This annual award is presented to a woman who has demonstrated any of the following characteristics: Outstanding volunteerism, community or public service, exceptional accomplishments in business, profession, legislature, etc., demonstration of great humanitarianism, philanthropy, etc.
Yellow Rose
Each year, the Zonta Club invites organizations and businesses to nominate someone they know who is enhancing the well-being of our community. Awards are presented to about 10 men or women each year at our Rose Day brunch event.
Shirley Campbell Memorial Award
Also known as the Zontian of the Year award, this recognition is presented to a current member who has demonstrated any of the following characteristics over the past twelve months:
1. Outstanding work/involvement in the Club, volunteerism, community or public service
2. Exceptional accomplishments in business, profession, legislature, etc.
3. Demonstration of great humanitarianism, philanthropy, etc.
